about

Performed by Janice Lowe & NAMAROON, LEAVING CLE SONGS OF NOMADIC DISPERSAL, is a late-night band set and performed remix of my poetry collection
LEAVING CLE poems of nomadic dispersal--pages which bloomed from hindsight efforts to understand my family's reverse migration move from Cleveland to Tuscaloosa, AL. Although the poems weren’t written to be sung, I felt a deep call, after the book was published, to perform them while playing piano--poems that wanted to be played, sung, intoned.
